Fair season is always bittersweet. It symbolizes one of my favorite past times, as well as the end of summer. Our county fair is always the last weekend in August located in Rhinebeck, NY at the beautiful Dutchess County Fairgrounds. It is one of my more recent traditions to stuff my face with fried raviolis from Coppola's followed by either a big apple crisp or mint chocolate chip on a cone. I have to confess I have not yet braved the 4H lines to get one of the highly sought after milkshakes. On the first day of the fair they listed that they sold over 3,000 milkshakes! I have a feeling I am really missing out. Keep reading to see more from my trip to the Dutchess County Fair! The animal portion of the fair will always and forever be my favorite. I was sad to see there weren't as many rabbits this year, but the fluffy chickens did not disappoint. Do you have a county fair you go to every year? Do you have a fair you think we would love? We want to hear from you. Leave me a comment with your favorite fair and why.
Stay tuned for my favorite fair vendor pick and my fair outfit.

About the AuthorHey ya’ll, my name is Brittany. I am from a small town in upstate New York, yes NY, no it’s not all city here. I am 29 and grew up in Westchester County, that’s where I get my ‘accent’ from (it’s about an hour north of the Big Apple). I started this page to share the idea that you don’t have to fit a certain mold or standard someone else has. I like pink and sparkles, I surround myself with beautiful things, but I know how to get down and dirty with the best of them. Categories |
